Kea wins Graduate Bitch at Devon & Cornwall Beagle Club Championship Show!
Kea had a super day at Devon & Cornwall BC Championship Show on the 2nd May 2010; judging the bitches was breed specialist Val Davies (Barrvale). I was delighted Kea was placed in all four of her classes including winning Graduate Bitch.
Kea finishes her puppy career on a high!!!
Mountsorrel Open Show on the 11th of April was Kea's last show as a puppy! She certainly finished her puppy career in style winning 2 classes, BOB & BP under Ian Byrne and PG4 under Robert Greaves. We are very proud of Kea and what she has achieved in her first 6 months in the ring. She has won 15 x BPIB, 6 x BOB, 1 x BB, 1 x BOS, 3 x RBOB, 20 x 1st placings and 4 x PG1 along with many more puppy and adult group placings! Kea is a delight to show and just loves been in the ring.
Zulu wins Limit Dog at Four Counties Championship Show!
This year I decided to take the trip north to Four Counties Beagle Club Championship show on the 21st of March 2010 the judge was breed specialist Helen Caple (Morsefield). Zulu, Kea and I had an overnight stop and stayed in a lovely dog friendly pub. It was a lovely show and well worth the journey with Zulu winning Limit Dog and Kea been shortlisted in Puppy Bitch and been placed 4th in Junior Bitch and 4th in Graduate Bitch all been very strong classes. Many thanks to the judge and FCBC!
Folly wins Best Working Hound at the Beagle Club Working Trials 2010!
Folly for the second year in a row wins Best Working Hound, Best Working Bitch at the Beagle Club Working Trials on the 14th March 2010 held at Meon Springs in Hampshire. The judges for the day were Kennel Huntsman David Brown from the Christchurch & Fairley Hill Beagles and Petronella Burton-Brown from the Wick Beagles. We are so very proud of Folly she really has a natural ability to work and is wonderful to watch in action.
Crufts 2010!
Crufts 2010 was an excellent one for us! Our judge for the day was breed specialist Mrs Jane May (Janfrey), first in the ring was Zulu and I was delighted he was placed 2nd in Mid Limit Dog. Next in the ring was Folly in Mid Limit Bitch and Good Citizen Bitch she was unplaced in MLB but placed 4th in GCB so we had a lovely day, many thanks to the judge!
Kea wins BOB,BP, G2 & PG1 at Romford & District Canine Open Show!
At Romford Open Show on the 6th March 2010, Kea won BOB, BP, G2 & PG1 under hound specialist Mrs V Watkinson (Manakoora). Many thanks to the judge for a super day!
Zulu wins RBD at the Beagle Association Open Show!
Zulu wins Reserve Best Dog at the Beagle Association Open Show on the 27th on February 2010 under breed specialist Harry Nicholson (Starburst). Kea also had a good day been placed 3rd in Puppy Bitch and 4th in Novice Bitch.
Kea wins BB, RBOB, BOS & BP at Maidenhead & District Canine Open Show!
Kea had a wonderful day at Maidenhead & District Open Show on the 20th on February 2010. She won BB, RBOB, BOS & BPIB under breed specialists Lesley Rootham (Rochalbury) who was judging the bitches and Stacey Burrows (Summerlily) who judged the dogs. Many thanks to the judges for such a lovely day!
Kea wins BOB, BP & PG1 at Rugby & District Canine Open Show!
Kea had a super day at Rugby & District Open Show on the 13th of February 2010. She won BOB & BP under breed specialist Tim Jones (Eardley) then PG1 under Patsy Hollings! Many thanks to the judges for such a lovely day!
Kea wins BP & PG3 at Worthing Canine Open Show!
At Worthing & District Canine Open Show on the 6th February 2010, Kea won BP under breed specialist Nikki Peterson (Troopersway) the Hound PG3 under Mrs Boydell (Warrenoak). Pictured above is Kea and Charlotte who handled her in the 12 - 16 years handling class where she was placed 3rd qualifing her for Richmond. This was a super win as it was a very strong class and this was Charlotte's first time handling a different breed she handled Kea beautifully, way to go Charlotte!
Kea wins BP,RBOB & PG4 at Henley on Thames Open Show!
At Henley on Thames Open Show on the 31st January 2010, Kea won RBOB & BP under breed specialist Angela Hodgkins (Maurella) then Hound PG4 under Charlotte Strickland.
Zulu wins BOB at Buckinghamshire Canine Open Show!
Zulu won BOB at Buckinghamshire Open Show under breed specialist Sally Parker (Chapscroft) on the 16th of January 2010. Zulu was on top form after a two month break from the ring, a super start for 2010! Not forgetting Kea who was placed 2nd in Beagle Puppy and 1st AV Hound Puppy under Alister Parker (Chapscroft).
